Man never looks insignificant next to a mountain or a megalith, for man can force those mountains to follow his/her wish. A megalith only proves the outstanding ability of the human mind.
Our appreciation of who we are, of our abilities, of our brains - what made us reign supreme over this planet, is what keeps the world going. If our minds are blind, then we can neither see beauty, or create anything of value.
This is a gallery from David Allio with the wonderful model Ariela Bat Shiva. I hope that you will like it.
Photography has evolved in the past 10 years in remarkable ways. The introduction of digital photography and the fact that dark rooms became nothing more than computer software, where tricks don't have anything to do with nasty chemicals, has made it easier for photographers to be more creative and to focus more on making good pictures instead of making sure that good pictures turn out well on paper.
This gallery represents that transition or evolution. The first gallery was shot in 2000 using a film camera, with a wonderful model, Patti Smith - which explains the grain, while the second gallery, shot in 2010 in Hawaii using a digital camera with the amazing model Pua Chapman, is a representation of the modern approach to beauty. It was a day full of adventure for this young woman. Her poses are wonderful and she's indeed very graceful.
The two galleries have the same theme and two alluring models. I often complain when photographers use the same idea more than once, but here the results are remarkably different. The beauty of each model stands out perfectly in those wonderful natural settings.
It's also a wonderful chance to actually see how David Allio's vision has evolved over a decade.
I hope that you will like it.
It takes a lot of skill to be a photographer. You need to know a lot about lighting, photography techniques, have a vision to present, and most of all, to know how to bring out the best of your subjects. In the case of nude photography, this means bringing out the model's hidden beauty in addition to her visible one.
Based on this definition, I can claim that David Allio is a great photographer, apart from the fact that he has been taking pictures for about 40 years and has received many awards, his works clearly show a mastery of the visual and a unique vision.
I really like pictures that show the subtle curves of the body, the "landscape" of our physical existence, the landscape that can almost resembles our planet.
There is a great human diversity in nudes that promotes tolerance. There also is the unique anatomy that represents the unmistakable human qualities that are a part of our beauty, and the beauty of humanity.
That's how art can be a window to the soul, you can learn a lot about humanity and life through a simple piece of art, art is the creation of the human mind, and our minds are our most previous possessions. It's seeing the world from a different perspective, a perspective of a person with a different vision, a perspective that can make you more aware of things that you simply didn't seem to notice.
Who knows, maybe you will learn a thing or two by looking at those American nudes. I certainly did.
True art is something which inspires, make s you dream of a better world, and most of all makes you think. I feel truly honored for being able to feature a David Allio, the Hawaiian photographer who was selected by Lycos, Italy, as one of the top four
modern erotic artists/photographers in the world, gallery on Graceful Nudes. This gallery is a real demonstration of what can happen when sculpture and nude art meet.
The quality of this gallery shows how much experience Mr. Allio has in this photography genre. He captured the moment on the most creative of ways. It's like this gallery was shot in a different realm, there is a strange flow of ideas which go through your head when you look at a gallery as beautiful as this one.
I hope that you will be inspired by this David Allio gallery.
